Nothing is as it seems.

Nothing is as it seems.

You think you know the world. You don’t. Neither do I, nor does anyone else. Why? You ask. Well try answering these questions then.
What is it that makes you live or die? What is it that makes you happy or sad? What is that makes you laugh or cry? You think you know all that. But do you really? Ask yourself, how many times has it happened that you cried or laughed for no apparent reason, or atleast for something you didn’t think you would ever cry or laugh for. Or what gets you down when everything is going just great for you. Or you feel so buoyant that you could walk on air when everything seems to be pitted against you. Is it just the whole juxtaposition of some things you will never consciously notice but your sub-conscious will? Think about it. Maybe, that’s what instinct and sixth sense is all about. Paying attention to your internal thought processes which could surprise you at the speed at which they take place. You spend two hours in finding a solution you realise you already knew.

Has it ever happened to you that you knew the next number to be called out (in a lottery draw, in a tambola game, or the next digit in a phone number you are noting down) a split second before it actually is? Or have you switched on the radio/TV to find out that the exact song you wanted to hear or were thinking about is playing? Or the person sitting next to you starts singing the song you were humming to yourself silently? What explains all of these? Do we make these things happen or do we know what is going to happen by sub-consciously recognising some pattern which we didn’t think or know exists? Well it is said we only use some10% of our brains. Probably the answer lies in the rest of it. It is a known fact that our brain is the best processor in the world. Maybe it’s akin to a quantum computer (though one of those is yet to be invented in a workable and stable form), making multiple calculations simultaneously, when we don’t even realise it is happening.

Lot’s of people have advised us to listen to that inner voice. I guess it is good advice. That inner voice I guess isn’t just some random thought of ours or an apparition whispering in our ear; it’s probably a thought out solution or the best alternative available to us. Just that we are not aware of when we made those calculations or discarded the other alternatives. There’s so much we don’t know about the functioning of our brain. Does ESP exist? Is telekinesis possible? Well someday we probably will find out and the mysteries of the human brain shall be unraveled. But till then it would be wise to pay heed to that peripheral vision and what we notice with it.
