Strings

I had always wanted to learn how to play guitar. Well in college i got to know someone who played and i grabbed the opportunity, bought a guitar, and learnt the basic chords and stuff quite fast. But thats it. Thats where my progress as a superstar guitarist stopped. Well I would like to blame it on the fact that I didnt go to a professional teacher and start with the basic scales which are absolutely neccessary (I now know), however, the main reason is that I just didnt practice hard enough.
And once I stopped making significant progress everytime I touched the guitar, I just lost the inclination. Mind you, I still love the instrument and can keep watching someone good playing for hours...and I do play it myself occasionally (for my ears only tho).
Now you would think where am I going with this...
Well my point is there are lots of things that we would like to do, and we think to ourselves, that if we had the opportunity, we would be really good at it. But the fact is you've got to make that opportunity if you really want to. I am sure if we looked hard enough, we would find that there have been times when we HAVE done this...each and everyone of us. You just need to find your own example and apply that to whatever it is you want to do...

My first blog

Well thats about it...just created a blog for no reason...havent ever blogged before...but then theres always a first....dont have anything to write at this point of time....but hopefully will, in future....
